Brookline, Massachusetts | Built in the early 1900’s, this Brookline Brownstone home had retained its original charm and great architectural bones. Unfortunately, the surrounding landscape had reverted to a narrow and barren yard that did not suit the homeowner’s lifestyle. The owners desired spaces to sit and relax, a lawn for their children to play on, and gardens for the wife to tend and enjoy. a Blade of Grass offered the right solution: dividing the property into a series of smaller garden rooms that satisfied all the design program elements.
These new spaces include a restful patio, a parterre cutting garden, a "checkerboard" main entry, and an elongated lawn garden with a whimsical pergola set within the award winning English style gardens.
